The Casio CA-53W Data-Bank, AKA the calculator watch, has been my son, Bingeing Watches Junior's favorite watch ever since we got it. It shows many styling similarities to the Casio F-91W, but it has one special feature: the built-in calculator. This was the big factor in buying it, along with its great price/value ratio.

This wristwatch is a classic timepiece that has been around for almost three and a half decades. It is known for its durability, affordability, and practical features, making it a favorite among watch enthusiasts around the world.

One of the standout features of the Casio CA-53W is the aforementioned built-in calculator. This handy tool allows you to perform quick math on the go, without the need for a separate calculator. The calculator is easy to use, with simple buttons that are labeled with the basic math functions. Unless you are fat fingered like me, you will be able to make it work. It also has a clear digital display, which makes it easy to read and enter numbers.

But the calculator isn't the only thing that makes the Data-Bank a great watch. Much like the Casio F-91W, it is also made with a durable plastic case and resin strap, which makes it lightweight and comfortable to wear. Like it says on the face of the watch, the watch is water resistant, so you can wear it comfortably while washing hands. Although this means should be a little cautious when wearing in the water, because there still is some risk that the watch could be damaged if buttons are pressed while submerged or if you go to deep. Many have claimed to be able to use it just fine while showering or swimming, but do so at your own risk. The Casio CA-53W has a number of other practical features that make it a great watch for everyday wear. It has a basic digital display with the time, date, and stopwatch function. The stopwatch function is especially useful for timing events or workouts, and is easy to start and stop with the press of a button. Who hasn't tried to stop the stop watch on exactly 1.00 seconds? It is a fun game to play, when you have a few seconds to spare.

In addition, the calculator watch is also very affordable. It has great value for the price, with an Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $29.95, and averaging around $24, but can be found for even cheaper in some places. It's a watch that's built to last, with a durable construction. The power reserve on quartz is measured in years, not hours like automatic/mechanicals, and the typical battery life is 5 years. So, even at $30, it is a good deal.

One of the things that sets the Casio CA-53W apart from other affordable watches is its reliability. It's a watch that just works. You can rely on it to keep accurate time and hold up well to everyday wear and tear. And with it's simple digital display, it's a watch that's easy to read. It lacks lume, or a backlight, so it is not good in dark lighting conditions. The Casio CA-53W is also a versatile watch that can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. It looks fine with a suit and tie, but how often do you wear that? It is also casual enough to pair with jeans and a t-shirt. This makes it a great choice for any situation, as well as it being a watch that you can wear every day without the worry of damaging it.

The Data-Bank is also a stylish watch. It has a classic 80s design that never goes out of style, and it is also available in a variety of colors to suit your personal style. Whether you prefer a traditional black watch, or something more colorful, there's a Casio CA-53W that's perfect for you.

Overall, the Casio CA-53W is a reliable, versatile, and simple watch that's perfect for everyday wear. The built-in calculator is an added bonus for quick math, and the watch's durable construction and long battery life make it a great value for the price as well.

Whether you're a busy professional, a student, or just someone who values simplicity, the Casio CA-53W is a watch that you can rely on for years to come.
