I will be the first to admit, gold is not my color. Yet even I cannot resist the allure of the Casio F91WM-9A and the Casio MDV106G-1AV. Neither one of these watches needs gold to shine, as they are both stellar examples of high value time pieces at an affordable price. There is no denying that a touch gold adds a little bling and catches the eye and the light.

The Casio F-91W is likely the worlds greatest watch ever made. Casio is selling more than 3 million F-91W watches a year, thanks to its affordable price and charming good looks. It is functional and reliable. It is a great starter watch for kids and it is loved by adults as well. The Casio F91WM-9A features a gold resin case, and a black surround with gold text around the LCD display. The LCD display is easy to read and maintains the vintage charm of the original in features and function. The black resin watch straps is typical of Casio and is good enough for most. Some people swap out straps and add even more style.

My kids like to play a game where you start the timer, and try to stop it on exactly one second or 00:0100 and as you can see, sometimes, they are successful! It is a fun game that I used to to play with my friends in elementary school and I have passed it on to the next generation. Stay golden, Bingeing Watches Junior! Stay golden!

The Casio MDV106G-1AV Duro is a another watch that likely needs no introduction. The Casio Duro is my current favorite watch. I love the Duro so much that I collected all six of the current models and even have duplicates of couple of them. Look for reviews of each in the future. The gold version is the dressiest version of a desk diver. I plan to get a two tone jubilee style bracelet. The Strapcode SS221820PGD117 22mm Super-J Louis Two Tone Watch Band in 316L Stainless Steel with IP Gold and a V-Clasp is on my short list. That would dress the Gold Duro up nicely and it would look great with a variety of work clothes from business dress to casual. The two tone goes great with the gold bezel and stainless case. The black resin strap that comes with the Casio MDV106G-1AV Duro is more than adequate for the job. It is ideal for use in wet environments and with 200 meters of water resistances, the Duro is a true diver. The Casio MDV106G-1AV Duro would also look great on most 22mm watch straps. The Duros are true strap monsters. I have a few NATOs and Perlons on my wish list for this watch. Black and gold with a gold or stainless clasp. The Bond black, grey and gold NATO looks great. Throw a couple leather straps and elastic bands in for good measure. Am I the only one who spends more on accessories, than on the watch?

No matter which watch you choose, you will see why gold has been such a status symbol throughout the centuries. People are drawn to the warn inviting color and appreciate the stylish design and useful features of each. I know I will add them into my rotation and enjoy them for years to come!
